Abstract:

Recent years have seen a growing interest in the use of adaptive designs in clinical trials. Several competing designs have been proposed and their use has been evaluated in the literature. However, inference concerning primary and secondary end points of a clinical experiment are not well-addressed due to the presence of several confounding issues. In this talk, I will clarify some of these issues and describe a disparity based inferential procedure for data analysis. I will illustrate the methodology with simulations, real data analysis, and asymptotic theory.
