Abstract:
|
In assessing a treatment effect in observational studies, a lot of work has focused on the average treatment effect or quantile effect. In this study, we develop an instrumental variable method based on the empirical likelihood approach for evaluating the treatment effect on the entire distribution and general functions of this effect in observational studies. Our method involves two steps, in which either matching or weighting method is incorporated into the empirical likelihood.
