Abstract:

Adaptive designs have been shown to be very efficient statistical creations. At the same time they need to be implemented, approved, and adopted The authors both work full-time at constructing Bayesian adaptive trials for diverse clients--including pharmaceuticals, biologics, devices, and diagnostics. This talk focuses on the art and science of constructing adaptive designs. Multiple examples will be presented, from early development to confirmatory trials. The interaction of the statisticians, company executives, and regulators will be discussed.
