Quantum computation and quantum information theory are of great current interest in physical sciences and engineering. This revolutionary field will likely lead to a new wave of technological innovations in communication, computation and cryptography. The amount of numbers required to describe a quantum system generally grow exponentially with the size of the system, and so does the dimensionality of the space to accommodate the quantum system. As a result, statistical problems involved quantum computation and quantum information are often of very high dimensions. This talk will address high-dimensional statistical inferences in the areas particularly large matrix estimation and statistical analysis of quantum algorithms. We establish asymptotic theory for the proposed methods and present numerical examples to demonstrate their performances.
