Abstract:

The introduction of Sweave, SASWeave and now StatWeave has revolutionized statistical practice for consulting statisticians. Incorporation of the concepts of reproducible research into the classroom is a natural extension. In addition to simplifying the process of integration of homework problems, class notes and solutions, use of these packages in the process of teaching principles of statistics also teach good statistical practice. The examples demonstrated in this poster will be drawn from a course in the theory of linear models taught at the University of Arizona.
