Abstract:
|
In longitudinal data analysis, often interest lies in comparing the parametric models fitted to the mean profiles. For example, if the trend over time is linear, commonly a test is performed to evaluate whether the rate of change in the mean response is the same for all treatment groups. This is mainly done by testing for the significance of treatment and time interaction. In this talk, we propose multiple comparison procedures for comparing not only the slope but the entire mean responses over time. This issue has never been addressed before in the context of longitudinal studies. A simulation study based on the comparison of linear mean response profiles with a control will be carried out to assess the performance of the proposed methods in terms of simultaneous coverage.
