Abstract:

PhRMA Working Group on Adaptive Dose Ranging Studies is considering a set of new adaptive designs, based on both frequentist and Bayesian methodology. We will present the results of a comprehensive simulation study that compares the contributions of different design components such as working model for efficacy dose response relationship, response adaptive allocation, number of doses, stopping rules, frequency of interim analyses, longitudinal model, etc on performance (operating characteristics) of these new designs.
