The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is a regional group consisting of 15 countries which was founded 1975. The primary objective of ECOWAS was developed as a means toward economic integration and development with the goal of providing economic stability and improving relations between the members of ECOWAS. The objective of this paper is to assess empirically the determinants of the economic development in ECOWAS and assess the impacts of these determinants on each of the ECOWAS countries.
