Abstract:

A customer IT solution that an IT enterprise provides can be a mix of hardware products (such as servers, storage, software, and PCs) and attached services. Consistency in pricing of these various elements, especially the attached services, is a key aspect to achieving certain strategic business objectives. This paper presents a statistical sampling solution that we developed, with the objective of proving an efficient pricing consistency checking solution for the service deliverables. The solution was developed with a multi-stage, sequential sampling and estimation approach. In this paper, we will describe our methods as well as report our application results from a pilot project.
