Abstract:

This paper investigates the properties of the optimal discovery procedure (ODP) applied in multiple hypothesis testing. In particular, we are interested in a testing situation where test statistics have positively skewed distributions and the effect that skewness has on the unbiasedness of this testing procedure. In the light of this, we consider distributions with different values of the coefficient of skewness such as exponential, lognormal, and Weibull and evaluate the performance of the ODP.
