The advances of cheap information processing equipment have resulted in an environment where even small and mundane businesses routinely collect vast amounts of data. The availability of such data has created expectations from as well as opportunities for statisticians. How must the skill set as well as the mindset of practicing statistician change to live up to the challenge?
