Abstract:
|
Today organizations are thinking about the data they own and use and the technology community attempts to help organizations make sense of and capitalize on this data. In some venues, data collection is directed by project needs or monitoring requirements and not by any interest in subsequent analysis. The biotech sector is just such an environment. The objective of this paper is to decribe the data collection requirements and to propose a model for amassing data that could have value for the information it reveals about trends and cross cutting topics.
