Abstract:

This study's objective was to examine the degree of disclosure limitation offered by masking microdata with mixtures of multivariate normal distributions. It is a function of the overall magnitude of the masking error and of the parameters of the mixture. The assessment of disclosure risk is made using Winkler's matching software.
