Abstract:
|
We will describe how we systematically "stack" decks of playing cards in order to teach nearly all the topics found in an introductory (algebra-based) statistics course. We will give examples of in-class hands-on activities that can be conducted that help students understand some of the topics in the course. Topics demonstrated may include confidence, error probabilities in hypothesis testing, and the central limit theorem.
