MATH AWARENESS WEEK LECTURES
                     Thursday, April 24, 1997          

This year the theme for Math Awareness Week is Mathematics And
The Internet as decided by the Joint Policy Board for Mathematics.
On Thursday, April 24, 1997, there will be a series of 15-minute 
lectures from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The lectures will be held in 
Grossnickle 144. The schedule for the speakers is as follows:

	12:00-12:15	Richard Anderson, Economics
	12:15-12:30	Phil Aikey, Mathematics
	12:30-12:45	Elanor Campulli, Art
	12:45- 1:00	break
	 1:00- 1:15	Treva Pamer, Chemistry
	 1:15- 1:30	Dorthy Mulligan, Academic Computing
	 1:30- 1:45	Alberto Pinkas, Physics
	 1:45- 2:00	break
	 2:00- 2:15	Richard Riggs, Mathematics
	 2:15- 2:30	Greg Taylor and Nicole Savion, Computer Science
	 2:30- 2:45	Marcia Schlafmitz, Computer Science

Presentations will be informative and accessible to everyone.  The 
committee invites all members of the community to attend the program.
