The MAA Student Chapter at BU is hosting the following MAW event:

    Friday, April 25, 1997
    "Some mathematical problems arising in medical imaging"
    Professor F. Alberto Grunbaum
    (University of California at Berkeley)
This visit and talk (with following reception) is sponsored by the BU Students Activities Office. Also, the students designed a poster to advertise the event.

Mathematics Awareness Month is sponsored each year by the Joint Policy Board for Mathematics to recognize the importance of mathematics through written materials and an accompanying poster that highlight mathematical developments and applications in a particular area.
