Model Adequacy Methods for Functional Regression Models (304084)

*Melody Denhere, University of Mary Washington

The aim of this project is to propose some model adequacy checks for functional regression models. Over the last decade, the field of functional data analysis has experienced active research as the need for such methodologies has gained a lot of interest. Ease of computational analysis of high dimensional data has allowed for formulation of different estimation techniques for the functional regression models. With any model specification, assumptions are made. These assumptions must be checked, usually by analyzing the residuals of the model, before adopting the model for use. This work explores such model adequacy methods for the functional logistic regression model.
