While women are active participants in statistics, data science, and computer related fields, we do not have a clear picture of the female workers in these occupational spaces. The purpose of our presentation is to provide a socioeconomic profile of women working in ten broad computer and mathematical occupations using the 2010-2015 samples of the American Community Survey. In particular, we seek to address three major questions: 1) What are the demographic characteristics of women in these occupations?; 2) What are their educational attainment level?; and 3) What are their earnings compare to male counterparts? The ten occupations are divided into two subsets. The first subset includes six occupations where the main work tasks involve managing data, programming, and developing software. The second subset includes four occupations where the main work task is data analysis. We hope the socioeconomic profile will help women working in these occupations better appreciate their positions in relations to female and male peers.
