Only about ten percent of R packages are maintained by women: this interactive session aims to turn this trend around. We will begin with a brief overview of our experiences programming in R and developing/maintaining R packages. We will then guide you through the basic steps of producing and checking an R package. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance during the session, and you will leave ready to produce your own R package. Please bring a computer. We will assume you can program a simple function in R.
