The presenters will address questions such as: What kinds of decisions do decision makers in medicine need to make (that involve statistical inference)? What do decisions makers want/need to know to make such decisions? What do they want to know about uncertainty regarding the available evidence? Do decision makers ask inappropriate questions—questions that cannot be answered well or at all or only with answers that increase the risk of poor decisions? What does “evidence-based” mean?
