Activity Number: 135 - Applications of Machine Learning Methods to Imaging Data Analysis
Type: Contributed
Date/Time: Monday, July 29, 2019 : 8:30 AM to 10:20 AM
Sponsor: Section on Statistics in Imaging
Abstract #306957 Presentation
Title: Detecting fMRI Brain Activation via Neural Networks
Author(s): Daniel Rowe*
Companies: Marquette University
Keywords: FMRI; Neural Networks; Machine Learning; Brain Activation
Abstract:

The historical practice in fMRI brain imaging has been to determine areas of brain activaion via linear regression techniques. In recent times, machine learning methods have become popular for data analysis. In this talk, a statistical machine learning approach to computing brain activation will be explored. Results, lessons, and future areas of work will be presented.
