Abstract:
|
Winona State University (WSU) received REU funding from the American Statistical Association / National Science Foundation for Summer 2017. (Grant No. DMS-1560332) WSU worked collaboratively with the Minnesota Population Center to develop appropriate projects for the REU. This work includes the creation of a single index to measure household assets using data from International Public Use Microdata Series-International (IPUMS-I). The development of this index was challenging due to the wide variety of measurements collected from country-to-country and year-to-year. This poster will include the outcomes from this work. In addition, the student authors will provide an overview of their REU experience at Winona State University.
