I have conducted interviews with accomplished statistics educators in the Journal of Statistics Education for the past six years. In this presentation I summarize some of the common themes that have been discussed as well as distinctive aspects of each interviewee. I offer insights gathered from these interviews on issues related to teaching statistics, some timely and others timeless. I also present advice for those new to teaching statistics and the field of statistics education as offered by these prominent statistics teachers and education researchers.
