Title: Evaluation of Simulation Models Through Different Computational Environments
Author(s): Jiang Hu*

Abstract:

Adaptive designs are increasingly being used in clinical trials. For complicated trial designs like combination with several adaptive features, it is quite common that there is no analytic approach to evaluate the design and its operating characteristics. In that case, simulation studies will play a key role in understanding trial designs. For a simulation study, simulation models through different computational environments could be used and thus, it is of interest to evaluate the models. In this presentation we evaluate simulation models including model verification , operational validity, and data validity. Several different software languages will be reviewed and compared through examples.
