Abstract:
|
We have developed a family based multi-marker association test, which is a weighted sum of two test statistics. The data driven weights are used to make our test robust to the population stratification and linkadge disequilibrium between mutiple markers. Our test would be a potentially powerful method for family-based genetic study of multiple markers and can also provide an alternative tool for the detection of underlying causal genetics variances. In our study, it achieves a higher power in most scenarios of LD structure and still keeps robustness to population stratification.
