Abstract:

Much of the effort in looking at the evidence for climate change has been focused on average temperatures. However, the expected signal are often more easily apparent in extreme values. We will look for expected climate change effects in long temperature series, and discuss ways to compare data to regional climate models, taking into account the different averaging procedures involved in regional models.
