Discussion will focus on the development and validation of diagnostic tests using biomarker data. Topics may include model development methods such as discriminant analysis, logistic regression, and support vector machines. Key questions: (1) What are the pros and cons of various model development methods? (2) How many samples are needed in the model development phase?
