RL03 Evaluating the Quality of Randomization
*Vance Berger, National Cancer Institute Keywords: Randomization is often understood to be a single method, beyond reproach and beyond requiring any specific description. Yet in reality there are many ways to randomize, and some are better than others. We seek to evaluate one aspect of the quality of randomization by appeal to a “degrees of freedom” concept similar to the entropy.
