Presenting and Analyzing Hospitalization Data
View Presentation *Elizabeth G Galle, Boston Scientific CRM Keywords: hospitalization, recurrent, predictors The presentation and analysis of recurrent events is becoming a more frequent occurrence in longitudinal studies. Descriptive tools and analysis techniques for this type of data is limited, particularly in situations where differential follow-up exists, there is a competing risk present (e.g. death), multiple event per patient are possible, and there is a desire to adjust for covariates. A case study is presented to describe the benefits and limitations of different techniques used in writing a manuscript of hospitalization data collected during a longitudinal clinical trial.
