This round table will discuss current designs of studies in suicide, including instruments to assess suicidal ideation and behavior and the analysis of such studies. Questions for discussion will include: 1. What designs have been used for studies in suicide? 2. What instruments have been used to measure suicidal ideation and behavior? 3. What are the limitations of these instruments? 4. What types of analyses have been performed and how do these relate to other measures such as MADRS or HDRS? 5. What difficulties have you encountered in conducting such trials in suicidal patients?
