Comparison of models for recurrent events when multiple events can occur simultaneously

I will discuss an example where subjects are followed at fixed visits (say every 3 months) for several different types of events. One way of analyzing this type of data is to use a recurrent events analysis and ignore the number of events that occur. This approach may lose some information. Alternative methods are discussed.
