Some biomarkers are capable of prognosis for future clinical outcomes in patients. Health care providers can use these biomarkers to quantify the risk of a future event, recurrence of disease, or mortality. However, the evaluation of these biomarkers' prognostic capabilities can present a number of challenges. This roundtable aims to share ideas about statistical methodology and study design, as well as address topics such as loss to follow-up, missing data, and sample size determination.
