Instructions for Completing the 2024 Fellow Nomination Form

Deadline

FELLOWS SUBMISSION IS NOW CLOSED

The nomination form must be completed and submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. EST on March 1. The system will not allow you to begin a new nomination or submit a saved one after this time, regardless of circumstance.

Eligibility

To be eligible for nomination, a person must be a current member of the ASA and have had continuous membership for three years—from March 1, 2021 to February 29, 2024. Members who are already fellows are not eligible.

Please verify fellowship and membership status before preparing a nomination package.

A well-prepared nomination package is essential. Your presentation and the supporting materials and letters must convince the ASA Committee on Fellows that your nominee is among the most deserving of those nominated.

How to Complete the Fellows Online Nomination Process
  • The online nomination process allows you to begin a nomination, save it, and return later to complete and submit it.
  • All information is to be typed into the form and submitted electronically; do not attempt to print and mail the form to the ASA.
  • The CV and letters of support are submitted as PDF attachments where requested in the nomination process.
  • Begin the process by clicking the “Begin the Nomination Process” button.
  • All demographic information is voluntary and will not affect the nominee’s outcome.
  • The rules concerning letters of support were changed as of October 1, 2019. While there is no minimum, there is a maximum of three letters allowed. An individual is limited to providing support to no more than two candidates per year.
  • If you have any questions or encounter any problems, please email awards@amstat.org.
